   GETIDOS Fellowship (GETIDOS Website)
The socio-ecological research group GETIDOS is offering a three-months fellowship for a junior researcher in the fields of climatology, hydrology or environmental sciences starting in the beginning of 2010. The fellowship is located at the Institute of Botany and Landscape Ecology at the University of Greifswald, Germany. Fellows are expected to support the preparation of a field study in Slovakia and will be given the opportunity to carry out independent research in a lively interdisciplinary and international environment. The fellowship includes travel expenses and a monthly bursary.

   Coastal Science Graduate Assistantship (LSU Website)
A graduate research assistantship position at Master's level is available starting Fall 2009 in the School of Renewable Natural Resources at Louisiana State University (LSU). The position is supported through a new assistantship program called the Coastal Science Assistantship Program by the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR) Office of Coastal Restoration and Management (OCRM) Coastal Restoration Division (CRD).    Research Hydrologist/Research Agricultural Engineer (USDA website)

   Southern Region Project Manager (TAMU Website)
Serve as Project Manager to provide leadership for the Southern Region Water Resource Project which involves 21 collaborating institutions within the 13 states of EPA Regions IV and VI. Work directly with the Project Administrator and with Water Quality Coordinators and other faculty and staff from collaborating institutions to conduct project planning and implement regionally focused programs targeting key water resource issues. Facilitate and participate in, where appropriate, the efforts of regional issue teams addressing topics including nutrient management, animal waste management, rural/urban interface issues, environmental restoration, and watershed management.    Water Quality Associate (WRI website)
The Water Quality Team of the People and Ecosystem Program at the World Resources Institute (WRI) seeks a results-oriented Associate with a strong background in water quality. The Team is engaged in a number of initiatives and projects designed to improve and protect surface waters and aquatic ecosystems in the United States and around the world with a major emphasis on controlling nutrient pollution and restoring eutrophic water bodies. Major aspects of these initiatives include developing market-based mechanisms for water pollution control such as water quality trading, providing global information exchange on eutrophication, reforming government conservation subsidy programs to improve cost-effectiveness, developing strategies to control eutrophication in the U.S. and abroad, and improving agricultural practices in order to reduce nutrient pollution.
